Warner Robins, Ga - It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Retired United States Army Veteran, Mr. Rickie Maynard, Sr. Mr. Maynard passed away on Thursday, July 9, 2020 at the Houston Medical Center in Warner Robins, Georgia. Rickie Maynard Sr. was born on May 7, 1957 in Macon Georgia to Ms. Fannie B. Maynard and the late Mr. Willie Glover Jr.
He attended schools in Bibb County. Afterwards, he joined the United States Army where he faithfully served until he was medically retired in 1986.
He was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Mrs. Gloria Mae Milton Maynard on January 29, 1980. To this union two children were born.
We are God’s children from the morning hour of birth, He lets us live and laugh and love and have our day on earth; He guards through the afternoon till sunset rays are cast the, one by one, with gentle words He calls us home at last; on Thursday, July 9, 2020 our beloved Rickie was called Home for eternal rest while a patient at Houston Medical Center, Warner Robins, Georgia.
He leaves to cherish his memories, a loving and devoted son, Rickie Maynard (Junior as he affectionately called him) of Warner Robins, Georgia; Charity (Johnny) Oates of Fredericksburg Virginia; a mother, Ms. Fannie B. Maynard of Macon Georgia; a sister, Anita (Donald) Curtis of Macon Georgia; two brothers, Jerome Maynard and his twin brother Vickie Maynard both of Macon Georgia; one uncle Grover Glover of Macon, Georgia; One Aunt Alice Maynard of Macon Georgia; two granddaughters NaKayla Maynard and Dominique Johnson; three grandsons, ZyKeyis Maynard, DaKavion Maynard and Tanner Oates; a devoted friend Mr. Zollie Chambliss; host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
