MR. JOHNNY B. “COON” ELLISON
On Tuesday, August 17, 2021, the tower crumbled and left us all the debris of a life well lived!
Johnny B. Ellison was born on May 8, 1950, in Marshallville Macon County, Georgia to Ms. Lora Mae Ellison.
“Coon” as he was affectionately called was educated at Lamson-Richardson School. He worked faithfully at Bassett Home for many years before relocating to Florida. While in Florida, the Sunshine State, he met and married Tessie Fuller; she preceded him in death.
“Coon” was the life of every party; he had so many swaggers that he named himself “Pretty boy, Lola Ellison’s Pretty boy.
He was loved by all and will be greatly missed by his many family and friends.
Johnny was also preceded in death by his loving mother Lora Mae Ellison and a sister Minnie Pearl Ellison.
Johnny leaves to cherish his memories: a daughter, Eriener Ellison; five sisters: Hattie Harris (Richie), Irene McDonald (Willie), Josephine Durden, Rachel Ellison, and Queenie Ellison; two brothers: Lonnie Ellison (Valerie) and Willie Ellison (Carolyn); a host of nieces and nephews. His grandchildren: Donjai Ellison, Latonya Ellison, Jurmon Ellison, and Travis Colbert. He was “Loved” by all especially Cloris Harris, Andrea Penson, Kenneth McCrary, Pearlie Preston, and Kenyon Barner; a special friend, Laquana McKenzie; a host of other relatives and many sorrowing friends.
