Emory J. Brown was born on September 18, 1947, in Macon County, Georgia to the late Faith Brown, Sr., and the late Cora Lee Davis Brown.
Emory traveled north to Norwalk, Connecticut when he was about 15 years old. He continued his education in the Norwalk Public School System. He graduated from Briggs High School, Norwalk, CT.
Emory was a Vietnam War veteran. He served as a soldier in the United States Army (1967-1969). After his completion of his tour of duty, he returned home to Connecticut, where he worked as a chef, tractor-trailer truck driver, and furniture mover.
His parents preceded him in death; a brother, Faith Brown, Jr; and a sister, Azalean Barrett (Beanie).
On Monday, May 8, 2023, Emory departed this life as a Houston Medical Center patient. Life race well run; now enter into thy Master Joy.
He is survived by his first wife Barbara A. Brown of Norwalk, CT, and his second wife, Bessie Brown; three children: Richard Stradford of Waterbury, CT, Amanda M. Brown of Norwalk, CT, and Tara A. Brown of Middletown, CT; his grandchildren: Jasmine, Chandler, Isaiah, and Azalean; great-grandchildren: Dominic and Leonardo; five siblings: Amos Brown of Norwalk, CT, Bertha Lee Brown of Marshallville, GA, Jimmy Lee Brown, Norwalk, CT, Albert J. Brown of Marshallville, GA and Catherine Jackson, Marshallville, GA; one brother-in-law, Buster Jackson of Marshallville, GA; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
