Mr. David Walton was born on November 19, 1949, in Buena Vista, Georgia to Mr. Tommie Lee and Mrs. Mattie Mae Mathis Walton. He was educated in Marion County Public Schools. David had a change in plan and relocated to Jersey City, New Jersey. Being a man who knew God only had the best for him and he knew it was not good for a man to live alone; therefore he met and married the love of his life, Lorraine Ross. To this union, four wonderful children were born.
After relocating back to Georgia, he worked at Peach County Board of Education and various other jobs. David was a dedicated hard-working man; he believed in a day’s work for a day’s pay.
David loved music and dancing; he won several “Dance Contests”.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.
Ecclesiastes 3:2b: And a time to die:
On Tuesday, August 24, 2021, David’s mortal season ended at the Atrium Navicent Health (Medical Center), Macon, Georgia as he entered into immortal rest.
He leaves to mourn his passing and cherish his memories: his loving wife, Lorraine Ross Walton; devoted children: two daughters, Andrea R. Felton, and Sharmaine Wilson; three sons: Darryle Walton (LaTicia, David Walton, Jr. (Jacinda), and Tommy Walton (Tangelia); siblings: Barbara Keels (John), Gerri Blackshear (Roe), and Roosevelt Walton (Joyce); special nephew, O.J. Bassett; special brother-in-law, Willie Lake (Deborah); sister-in-law, Clara Ross; 21 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
