Mr. Curtis Davis, well known as “Ji-Ji”; was born on June 9, 1955, to the parents of Cressie Davis (Joe Adams) and Jimmie Lee Felton. Curtis was born in Marshallville, Macon County, Georgia. He was educated in the Macon County Public Schools System.
He was a member of Saint Paul Baptist Church. Curtis kept his faith and belief in God; He knew whatever God willed for his life will certainly be fulfilled as he faced each day with faith.
He was employed at Step Two for ten years; after the closing of Step Two, Curtis was employed at Perdue Farms for seven years, he was a dedicated employee. He made his tour of work; completion once his health began to fail.
In early years, Curtis spent time in Florida making friends as he traveled; he never met a stranger. He will forever be remembered for his giant size heart, smiling face, his neat appearance, and those starch-creased jeans.
A time to love and a time to be love; on March 1, 2008 Curtis and Minnie were united in Holy Matrimony. And thereto they pledge their love ‘til death do us part. Again, Curtis’ circle of love was completed on Friday, May 5, 2023 as he made his smooth transitional with his wife at his bedside; he caught a glimpse of His Master as he journeyed into the Promised Land.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son Matthew Davis; one sister, Babbie Felton; a host of uncles, aunts and his beloved grandmother.
He leaves to cherish his memories: a loving and devoted wife, Minnie T. Davis, Marshallville, Ga; his daughter, Cerssie Davis; his sons: Eric Davis (Fanetzia), Troy Davis, Derrick Davis, Curtis “Tut” Davis Jr, (friend, Carizetta Williams); three bonus sons: Octavious Brown (Mary), Antonio Brown (Denise), and Baddarius Fredrick; grandchildren: Elani Davis, Sicario Davis, Kurtis Law, Jacob Davis, Palyn Davis, and Caleb Davis; two bonus grandchildren:, Carleese Brown and Santanna Frederick (whom he was rearing as his own son); His bonus mom, Earlene Felton, Marshallville, Ga; sisters and brothers: Connie Grant, Denise Adams both of Orlando, Fla, Terry Davis of Valdosta, Ga, Bobby Davis, Orlando, Fla, Ricky Davis, Orlando, Fla, Dr. Jimmie Felton Jr (Diya), Americus, Ga, Tony Rice, Oglethorpe, Ga and Leonard Felton, Vinings, Ga; Aunts & uncles: William Davis (Fannie), Willie Davis (Dot), Nell Davis all of Miami Fla, Geneva Felton, Marshallville, Ga, L.C. (Marion) Casey, Orlando, Fla, Eugene Felton Sr, Eddie Felton and Rudolph Felton all of Marshallville, Ga; his mother-in-law, Fannie Taylor, Marshallville, Ga; brothers-in-law: L. T. Taylor (Minister Joanne), Fred Taylor (Mary) both of Marshallville, Ga, Willie Taylor (Myrtice), Warner Robins, Ga and Tommie Taylor (Rose Ann), Montezuma, Ga; sisters-in-law: Shirley McGhee, Fort Valley, Ga, Geraldine Jones (Tommie), Garden Valley, Ga, Earlene Perry (Walter), and Louise Davis (Delmar) both of Perry, Ga; three devoted friends: Sammie Rice, Marshallville, Ga, Jessie Mark and Kenneth White both of Fort Valley, Ga; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many sorrowing friends.
