Fort Valley, GA - It is with sadness we announce the passing of Mother Rosa Lee Augustus-Price of 313 Preston Street.  Mother Price made her peaceful transition to be with her Saviour in the early morning hours on Saturday, May 16, 2020. 

Mrs. Rosa Lee Augustus Price was the daughter of the late Mr. James Arthur Augustus, Jr and the late Mrs. Rosie Mae Marshall Augustus. Rosa was born November 29, 1948 in Fort Valley, GA. She attended the public-school system of Peach County and graduated from H.A. Hunt High School. She was united in Holy Matrimony on May 28, 1968 to Mr. Raymond Price. To this union, three children were born; one of whom preceded her in death, Rose Mary Price Jackson Smith. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Larry Augustus and Willie Arthur Augustus  a grandson, Joseph Smith and a great grandson, Jeremiah Lester.

Rosa accepted Christ at an early age and attended the True House of God Holiness Church in Fort Valley, Ga. where she served as an usher for a number of years. Rosa had a positive, uplifting spirit and was indeed an awesome homemaker.

Rosa or “Lee,” as she was affectionately called enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. She was best known for her beautiful contagious smile, warm personality, and her fancy designer suits and hats. “Lee” was a beacon of light and leaves an everlasting impression, not only with her family, but her community as well.

 Her journey will forever be remembered by her loving husband Deacon Raymond Price of Fort Valley, Ga, two lovely daughters, Deborah Fuller (Charles) of Smiths Station, AL, and Janice Smith of Byron, GA; three brothers, Johnny Augustus of Fort Valley, GA., SFC. Retired Jesse James Augustus (Catherine) of Greensboro, North Carolina, and Jesse Lee Augustus (Shirley) of Byron, GA, one sister, Mary Augustus of Fort Valley, Ga; nine grandchildren; a devoted granddaughter, Stacey Boatman (Bennie) of Fort Valley, Ga., Damion Jackson, DeVante Fuller, Sebria Smith, Marqu’ies Price, Tyrique Fuller, Anthony Smith Jr., Ramon Smith, Jonathan Smith Jr. Eight great grandchildren, a devoted aunt Betty Jean Leary (Will) of Fort Valley, Ga, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
