A Death has Occurred or is Near
Cordele, Georgia – Funeral services for Mrs. Wilma Nell Nance of 47 Rosewood Circle will be held on Thursday, June 14, 2018 in the sanctuary of the Little Rock Baptist Church in Arabi, Georgia at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in the Sunnyside Cemetery in Cordele. The Rev. Joseph Green, pastor of the Little Rock Baptist Church will be officiating.
Mrs. Nance passed away on Friday, June 8, 2018 while as a patient in Crisp Regional Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Mrs. Mildred Armstrong Fenn, father Mr. Reubin “Sweety” Fenn, Sr. and a loving sister, Mrs. Ina Mae Oliver.
The family will receive friends at the residence of her twin sister’s residence, Ms. Burnell Fenn, 311 West 26th Avenue.
A public visitation will be held in the sanctuary of the Allen Temple AME Church on Wednesday, June 13, 614 West 16th Avenue, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm where the Rev. Vicki Alston is the pastor.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories: four devoted children, Mr. Kenneth (Debra) Nance, Sr. of McDonough and Albany, Georgia, Mrs. Janice (Eddie) Johnson, Cordele, Georgia, Mr. Nathaniel (Amanda) Nance, Jr., Cordele, Georgia, and Crisp County Commissioner Authur James (Dr. Sherri Nance), Cordele, Georgia, two devoted and loving sisters including her twin, Ms. Burnell Fenn, Atlanta, Georgia, and Mrs. Ruby (Sammie J.) Patrick, Macon, Georgia, five loving brothers, Mr. Reubin Fenn, Jr., West Palm Beach, FL, Mr. Bennie (Shirley) Fenn, Cordele, Georgia, Mr. Roosevelt Walker, Cordele, Georgia, and two identical twin brothers, Mr. Robby (April) Fenn, McDonough, Georgia and Mr. Bobby (Brenda Faye) Fenn, Rex, Georgia; a host of special grandchildren whom she cherished, a devoted niece who was just like her daughter, Mrs. Jackie (Raynard) Solomon, Atlanta, Georgia, several a close friends, Mrs. Deborah (Frank) Walker, Arabi, Georgia, Mary Doster, Cordele, GA, Diane Gamble, Patricia Doster, Cordele, GA, Wonakee Doster, Cordele, GA, Celestine Lester, Unadilla, GA, Santa Doster, Cordele, GA, Juanita Doster, Albany, GA, numerous other nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many sorrowing friends whom she all loved in their own special way.
The Nance Family would like to thank all who have reached out to them during this difficult time. The outpouring of community support, thoughts, and prayers of our friends have been enormous and very much appreciated! Special Thanks to County Commissioner Larry Felton, Cordele City Commissioner Royce Reeves, The Board of Commissioners, Crisp County Power Commission, Judge Gail Simms, and Sheriff Billy Hancock.
The Committal Service will be held at Sunnyside Cemetery in Cordele. Immediately following the committal service, the family will join friends at the Cordele Lions Club Fairgrounds on Highway 41 South for fellowship.
